about

This song was written for the Jane Goodall Institutes Day of Action for the Dingo. The Dingo is a totem of the Indigenous peoples of Australia and like them, know how to survive the Australian climate. Although they have been around for at least 4,000 years they are still considered as a pest species. Recently they have been identified as a unique species and are protected in National Parks. The song identifies the challenges the dingo faces and the fact that they still are not really welcome in their own country hence 'It's hard to be a dingo when you're looking for a home'.
