Dave is an Environmental acoustic singer/songwriter who only started writing and performing in 2014 but has already had some success with a number of songs on YouTube and received 'Highly Commended' for his song ‘It’s Hard to be a Dingo’ in the 2015 Queensland Music Awards. Founder of the Mango Hill & North Lakes Environmental Group Dave uses music to bring attention to environmental and wildlife issues, gaining the recognition of photographer Steve Parish, presenter Ben Faulkner and environmentalist Dr Jane Goodall who contributed to the associated YouTube video. In 2015 he recorded another of his songs 'The Silent ANZAC' for the ANZAC centenary with legendary Australian guitarist, Phil Emmanuel and played his song 'Song for the Koala' at the second National Koala Conference in Port Macquarie in 2017, the song has gone on to have global recognition. Dave has also won a number of awards for his Environmental work including The Murrumba Environmental Work Award in 2014, the Moreton Bay Australia Day Environmental Award in 2016 and a Moreton Bay Rail Link Award for his work with the associated Koala and Wildlife project.
