This song is dedicated to children from all around the world calling for action on climate change. The song was crowd funded and recorded at the Hamburger Music Studios at Doonan near Noosa and features a children's choir.
We believe music is one of the most powerful ways of moving people and we hope, with your help, we can make this song go viral and inspire more people to stand up for climate action.
We are so grateful to all the people who helped make this recording possible. In particular we would like to thank those who answered our fundraising call and of course the beautiful musicians who recorded the song.
Thank you for helping us spread the work. Julie and Dave.
lyrics
Do you hear our voices crying?
Crying for things we’ll never see,
Millions of our lives we're losing,
lost through greed and complacency
We are the voices, of tomorrow
we carry your dreams and love within.
We are the children, of your blood,
What is this world you've left us in
Will you join in our crusade?
Will you be strong and stand with me?
Together we can stop, the madness
Halt the greed and complacency
Rare frogs and insects, lost forever,
Birds with songs we’ll never hear.
A coral reef, what’s that we’ll say
But does it really have to be?
Do you hear our voices crying?
Crying for things we’ll never see,
Millions of our lives we're losing,
lost through greed and complacency
Turn off your TV Sets, your Xbox and Playstations
For there’s a real crusade you’ll see
Our rivers are dying, the fish are drowning
Nothing lives within a plastic sea
Is it time to take a stand,
Will you be brave and stand with me?
Beyond the cafes and the shop fronts,
Is a world we cannot see
There is no more, time to waste
The science is sadly very clear
The history is ours and together
We must live sustainably
