This is a song written about the devastating fire storms Australia suffered, which have also been experienced in other parts of the world including the Siberian tundra. It's about Climate Change and the need to act to prevent such a catastrophe ever happening again ...

lyrics
Summer of the Fire Storm
There's a glow on the horizon and the smoke blocks out the sun,
The homes start to go under and there's nowhere left to run,
It's the Summer of the Fire Storm, it's the hottest year on track,
It's the driest year on record, it's global warming that's a fact.
The smoke is seen from out in space it drifts around the world,
It smothers and it suffocates, it chokes as it unfurls,
It causes local clouds to form and lightening bolts to flash,
It hovers in the wind and blocks the rivers up with ash.
The greenness of the forest and it's fragrance after rain,
The beauty of the wildlife and the life that it sustains,
I'd bring it back tomorrow, but I just don't have a plan,
It's the summer of the fire storm the recklessness of man
The brave teams of the RFS work hard to douse the fires,
But it's money and it's ignorance that fans the winds of fire,
And it's left down to the rest of us to count the tears that's cried,
For the ancient forests and the animals that died.
They say the trees will grow again, but who knows where and when,
and what happens to the world that dies left in the hands of men,
We look out for the signs of growth among the blackened scenes,
The augmenters of a brand new world to paint the landscape green.
The greenness of the forest and it's fragrance after rain,
The beauty of the wildlife and the life that it sustains,
I'd bring it back tomorrow, but I just don't have a plan,
It's the summer of the fire storm the recklessness of man
For men are politicians and they do as they are told,
They look for all excuses and defend the use of coal,
For what provides financially for them it has to stay,
And we will see the storms again and the innocent will pay.
